ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Historical buildings, whose construction histories often stretch back centuries, require attention and care, enabling their survival into the present day. Thanks to their long lifespan, they are not only witnesses to the art and culture of bygone eras but also exemplars of sustainability. To achieve this, it is vital to adhere to the basic rules of monument protection, thus ensuring these buildings endure for the future and subsequent generations.
Each example presented in the current exhibition represents a specific construction task or building type, illustrated in every case through both a Lower Austrian and Hungarian example. Successful monument protection demands that we focus on each historic building with all its features while simultaneously considering the requirements of modern usage. The buildings showcased in this exhibition perfectly meet these criteria, serving as examples of 'Best Practice'.
