14+ BUDAPEST A KÉK Városi Séták középiskolai programja
In the spring of 2026, the Hungarian Contemporary Architecture Centre (KÉK) is organising its urban walking programme for high school students for the fifth time. We welcome applications from years 9–12 classes and study groups of Budapest high schools.
A good walk is one of the best ways to discover a city. Anywhere in the world. Even here in Budapest. We will show you how an architect, an urbanist, a historian, or a sociologist views with different eyes the urban environment that every Budapest resident sees and uses every day – what it is that we find interesting and valuable, and, above all, why?
We live in cities; the built environment defines our daily lives. That is why we believe it is vitally important that understanding this should be as much a part of general knowledge as literature, so that when decisions concerning our environment have to be made, the right choices are made. And once you can view Budapest with different eyes, wherever you travel in the world, you will see everything differently.
A fully completed application form submitted by the teacher responsible for the group by the deadline is required.
A student group of 10-25 people
A motivated group
An active, enthusiastic teacher who can assist in organising the students
A commitment from both students and teachers to attend the pre-scheduled presentations
